This article is missing an author. It is possible that this is actually a press release from the group mentioned in the article (EXODUS), written in the form a news article. A by-line and the name of the initial publication agency would be helpful in assesing the veracity of its claims.

This article comes from a report from Taiwan's Central News Agency (like America's AP/Associated Press). It's listed as the primary source, but the link in the article no longer works. This one does [1]. It's the same article but published by a different news source. It verifies the claims. RB972 05:59, 17 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

While Jeong was charged in 2001, he fled Korea in 1999, here is one article that verifies that: http://joongangdaily.joins.com/article/view.asp?aid=2893596

Footage from the press conference described in the article is available here if it helps: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ma_ucQsrAfc CaptPorridge (talk) 12:10, 22 July 2009 (UTC)CaptPorridgeReply

Not done the article does not mention when he fled, just that he did. So no correction is necessary. --SVTCobra 12:01, 30 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
