Headline edit

The headline is misleading: ElBaradei has simply said he wants Mubarak to stand trial. It has not, as far as I'm aware, been officially confirmed that he will stand trial. wackywace 11:31, 1 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, ElBaradei gave a few interviews to media outlets and suddenly he is "announcing" and making an "announcement" (which was edited out after publication) when he has no formal standing whatsoever in the government. He was a protester but is not an "official" leader of the opposition. This article is merely a summary of his beliefs that Mubarak should stand trial from a February 11 interview: "In an interview with the Islam Times, ElBaradei cited reasons as to why the trial of Hosni Mubarak will be necessary to undertake if he chooses to run for Egypt's top job."
Misleading article and the headline definitely needs to be changed. The article should be rewritten so it does not misrepresent the sources. This is my opinion. Mattisse (talk) 12:04, 1 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
I changed the headline to one that is more representative of the situation. Also removed some sources that were irrelevant to the article and cleaned up the wording. Mattisse (talk) 17:37, 1 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
