Norm Coleman: African-American?

The article's final paragraph includes the sentence "With the appointment, Burris becomes the only African-American member of the United States Senate, waiting on a vote recount ordered by Norm Coleman in his loss to Al Franken of Minnesota." Now, I looked up Norm Coleman, I could be wrong, but he doesn't look African-American and is actually listed as a Jew (whether it's just religious, I don't know). Yet that sentence... Unless Coleman is an African-American, it makes no sense. It might as well say "With the appointment, Burris becomes the only African-American member of the United States Senate, waiting on a vote recount ordered by Norm Coleman in his loss to Al Franken of Minnesota, should Coleman win, Burris will still be the only African-American Senator, as Coleman is not." By all means, correct me if I'm wrong on this one, Coleman just does not appear to be African-American. --99.224.245.159 22:06, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

I have got to assume that is what the original contributor intended. It was reworded today (http://en.wikinews.org/w/index.php?title=Burris_sworn_in_as_US_Senator_for_Illinois&diff=754488&oldid=753210 diff). I sighted the change, as it seems to be what WN:ARCHIVE calls a "non-content issue". --InfantGorilla (talk) 13:49, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
