Hi @Mooreheadmimi

This is well written. I am overseas and do not know the subject well. I went through the first paragraph phrase by phrase as outlined below, and marked three questions in yellow.

[1]

[2]

  • Friday morning - ok 1 2
  • 33,000 - ok 1 2
  • Boeing workers joined picket lines - ok 1 2
  • in Renton, Washington - unclear; it was one of the locations of strike, but was it the only one? Or did the strikes occur in multiple locations? What does the 33,000 refer to?
  • after walking out a day after rejecting Boeing's offer and voting to strike. -- ok 1 2
    • Note: they heard the results of the vote on Thursday (source 1); did they have an opportunity to vote for more than one day?
  • These workers, District 751 of the International Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) union, --- 'district 751' ok 1 2; source 1 says "the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers District 751 workers" and source 2 says "IAM District 751". which phrase is correct: "IAM District 751" or "District 751 of the IAM union"? (didn't hear of it before, my union does not have districts)
  • build the 737 MAX planes. -- confirmed by only source 2; need more sources or attribute it to source 2
  • Losing production of their flagship plane threatens Boeing's bottom line. -- possibly requires clarification; what is a 'bottom line'? why and how is 737 a 'flagship' plane? noting this is a good phrase to include as the Renton Washington plant is a major plant in the company, it might need to be clarified.

Were all these 33000 in one location or is this a total from several strike locations? Gryllida (talk) 22:26, 16 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

I've just sent an inquiry "I'm a reporter for Wikinews ( sister wiki of Wikipedia ) seeking more information about the last Friday strike. What was its location? Was it only at the Renton plant or elsewhere also? Do you have any photos that you are copyright holder of, that could be released under public domain or creative commons licence? Perhaps a map of where the picket lines were? Thanks!" to the union [3]. Regards, -- Gryllida (talk) 22:57, 17 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
