Original reporting?

edit

Seems like it could be? Has anyone spoken to the author before tagging it? Neutralizer 23:13, 9 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

I seem to remember this guy from IRC the other night. I do believe it's OR -- and he has uploaded his pics to commons, but I can't remember where they are. Excellent photojournalism. Perhaps he'll notice. Neutralizer, would take a crack at emailing him (from his user page)? If he registered and included his email, that'll probably get his attention. --Chiacomo (talk) 23:21, 9 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
I googled "world can't wait" protest washington, 2nd result is extremely POV but mentions a February 4 protest. If it is OR, then the tag is likely to get the original contributor's attention. First result on that Google? redirects to /bogus.html at the Pioneer Press of Illinois. --Brian McNeil / talk 23:22, 9 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
There is information about the protest on the World Can't Wait website. - Borofkin 23:43, 9 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Original reporting notes

edit

I was actually at this event and the reporting is original. I interviewed the people, I heard the speeches and I marched with them around the White House. I did my best to keep the article neutral as the event was not neutral at all. In fact, I do still even have the event sponsored press pass. Better yet, if you visit my blog you will see additional photographs from the event. Thanks for looking and I am glad you all liked the aritcle. Chiacomo it was me on IRC the other night. --Drew Selman talk 04:15, 10 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Where are the photos on commons? I've lost them. --Chiacomo (talk) 04:17, 10 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Advocates POV

edit

I'm not entirly sure what thats refering to, but more importantly, whats the plan to fix it? Bawolff ☺☻  04:15, 10 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

I added a balancing photograph that shows the counter-protest. --Drew Selman 04:25, 10 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
Pictures are good (and makes it more balanced). too many wikinews articles don't have enough pictures. On a side note, the counter-protest looks kind of pathetic. Bawolff ☺☻  04:30, 10 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
The counter demonstration was pathetic. It was raining pretty hard --Aselman 04:35, 10 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Date

edit

I think this should be bumped to date of publication and the protest date made clear within the article. --Brian McNeil / talk 09:22, 10 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Placed the date in the body, changed dateline to date of publication. This should satisfy the conversation around this. --Drew 11:45, 10 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

{{edit protected}} Please add this article to [[:Category:White House]] and localize the link of the same name as well as possibly de-linking the second instance of Washington D.C. Thank you. Green Giant (talk) 23:24, 1 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
