Giving example because a bunch of people have been slightly confused. Bawolff ☺☻ 21:09, 26 December 2005 (UTC)

I think you mean "example." Paroxysm 20:49, 4 January 2006 (UTC)
Line breaks
editIs there any way to get line breaks in the {{source}} template that is inserted? This one is horrible to fix when people just put in a generic website like CNN.com. Brian McNeil / talk 21:00, 4 January 2006 (UTC)
Example
editCan the example be changed from:
For examle if the source was The Times, the title was "Santa delivers presents", the author was "S. Claus", and it was published December 25, 2005 it would be:
- *{{source|url=http://www.thetimes.com |title=Santa delivers presents |author=S. Claus |pub=The Times |date=December 25, 2005}}
To:
For example, if the source was BBC News Online, the title was "Las Vegas hosts digital nirvana", the author was "Alf Hermida", and it was published January 3, 2006 it would be:
- {{source|url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/4577142.stm
- |title=Las Vegas hosts digital nirvana
- |author=Alf Hermida
- |pub=BBC News Online
- |date=January 3, 2006}}
The existing example encourages people to cite the website rather than the specific article, and giving a real example that clicking on shows the same data has to be better. (plus there's a speeling errrrrror. :) Brian McNeil / talk 21:13, 4 January 2006 (UTC)
Charinsert
editcan we kill everything after this line?
Α
α
Β
β
Γ
γ
Δ
δ
If (on the rare occasion) anyone actually needed it they could find it manually or ask someone else. I think its just taking up space for the chars after that line because their almost never be used. Or we could take the approach that wiktionary had for a while that only displayed one-line at a time. Bawolff ☺☻ 03:26, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
Ready template
editCan someone please change the ready template on the template tools to review, since it now redirects there? Thank you. Majorly (talk) 12:13, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

- Done, more or less. Fixed the typo. The explanation of why it'd delay things wanted to be either more complicated than it was, or omitted as you suggest.
- Please ensure you have read and understood these guidelines before submitting an article for review; otherwise, publication may be delayed.

Could we remove {{publish}} from the links? It's a template that should never normally be used outside of EPR, and, in the unlikely event that it does need to be used, it'll only be used by experienced editors that would know what to type manually. — μ 22:57, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
- Done. I also noticed that there was completely wrong-headed information for newbies about publication, which I rewrote extensively. --Pi zero (talk) 14:27, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
