- There are no good guys in this one. The News of the World are one of the trashiest gutter press publications in the UK; as a Murdoch mouthpiece they were rabidly pro-Thatcher. Sherridan was one of their nemesis, a fairly radical socialist who helped organise a non-payment campaign against the introduction of the poll tax in Scotland. The News of the World revealed that Sherridan had visited a swingers' club, and claimed he had engaged in extra-marital affairs. Where he got stupid was he sued them. With lots of witnesses on both sides, the judge said, "Hmmm, someone here is lying" and ordered the police to investigate. --Brian McNeil / talk 18:16, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
It is freaking hilarious that he perjured himself in a case that he filed by testifying in conflict with evidence that his own lawyers presented. Well, it won't be the first time this militant lefty sees the inside of a prison cell. --SVTCobra 18:47, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
