EPIK (talk)19:49, 23 September 2010 are so reasonable.

My favorite passage:

"and has taken to carrying a gun on his hip for self-defense."

Thou shalt not kill (except supporters of Islam.) (talk)14:50, 10 September 2010

And what was Pastor Jones' expected result, had he proceeded with his original plan? What message was he sending? Did he think it some kind of voodoo that would cause Usama bin Laden and his ilk to turn tail and run? If he truly was serious about his so-called "message", was he dedicated enough to burn himself along with the books, in order to make his point?

Only fools and fascists burn books (and records). This makes me wonder--is Jones a card-carrying KKK member? This idea of his has pretty much been condemned by the entire civilized world.

Burning Islam's Holy Writ would not intimidate radicals, but it would certainly inflame moderates. And how does he declare a book that he's never read as "evil" and "of the devil"? The Hebrew Torah (Pentateuch) predates the Christian embracing of Jesus as the prophesied Messiah, the Son of God--does that make it "evil" and of "the Devil", without the New Testament? (talk)20:09, 10 September 2010

but it would certainly inflame moderates

Not very moderate if they literally start flaming up and giving veiled threats.

agreed, one who burn books is enemy of the world, enemy of humanity. (talk)04:24, 12 September 2010

All websites to this church are out.

This was noted at the collaboration stage yesterday, I have just checked again and every website which directs to Pastor Jones & his campaign, and to the Dove World Outreach Church, are all offline at this time. reroutes to a "Bad Hostname" page, and his campaign blog at fails DNS resolution. I don't know whether these have been taken down deliberately to prevent attacks on the sites, or whether it's through the domain hosts removing them, or what. We'll have to wait and see.

That's interesting...

This guy keeps changing his mind

This guy (Pastor Jones) keeps changing his mind about things. It almost looks like he is threatening to burn the Quran if the mosque in NYC is built. It looks pretty certain that he's not done an about-face, he remains the same on his views on Islam "being of the devil".

Also, it seems that this article was published after all.

lol trulled

Congratulations, you are all now officially butthurt.

This guy should get a troll of the year award. (talk)21:35, 10 September 2010

Bible vs. Quran playing out nicely. I think that they read these lines.

Some New Testament Stuff

Matthew 12:30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

Luke 11:23 Same thing

2 Corinthians 6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

Quran Stuff

2:190 Fight in the way of Allah against those who fight against you, but begin not hostilities. Lo! Allah loveth not aggressors.

2:191 And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution is worse than slaughter. And fight not with them at the Inviolable Place of Worship until they first attack you there, but if they attack you (there) then slay them. Such is the reward of disbelievers. 2:192 But if they desist, then lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. 2:193 And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah. But if they desist, then let there be no hostility except against wrong-doers.
