Iranian diplomats to see detained Iranians in Iraq
Reports say that Iranian diplomats will get to meet with 5 detained Iranians in Iraq. It is not known when the meeting is scheduled to be held. The men, alleged to be members of the Revolutionary Guards, were detained back in January by U.S. troops, who believed they were playing a role in insurgency.

US House Speaker Pelosi visits Syria
President Bashar al-Assad met with Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the US House, who is visiting Syria. In the meeting, Iraq and Lebanon and the prospect for peace talks between Syria and Israel were discussed. She has been criticized by the Bush Administration for undermining United States foreign policy, which has been one of isolation towards Syria.

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton and former Canadian Liberal leadership candidate visit Ontario city
Tuesday, former U.S. President Bill Clinton and Former Canadian Liberal leadership candidate and former Ontario Premier Bob Rae visited Hamilton, Ontario to speak. The fundraiser for Burlington, Ontario based club Transitions For Youth was at the Hamilton Place. There were about 2,000 people there and the estimated price to hear Clinton speak was CAN$100,000 to CAN$400,000.

US presidential candidate Barack Obama announces campaign fund-raising success
Illinois Senator Barack Obama announced today that he has raised $25 million dollars in first quarter financing for his campaign for President of the United States. This is on par with the funds raised by New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, both who are trying to win the Democratic nomination in the upcoming primary elections.
Over half of the 100,000 donors came from online contributions totaling $6.9M.
