My Contributions are Srin in color!

When I looked at my contributions after doing the following edits, [1],[2],the edits were in creamish pink colour. (I am sorry, I am poor in describing colors, therefore, the following box: Srin ). And above the edit diff, it is written "[draft revision]" while in others it is not written. Can somebody explain me what the idea behind the above is? Thank you in advance, Srinivas 15:24, 8 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That means your edits have to be reviewed by a trusted user before they appear to non-registered users or are picked up by Google News, just like the way articles have to be reviewed before they appear on the Main Page. Dendodge T\C 16:16, 8 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Deleting Pages ; Editor Status

I would like to know two things:

  1. What are the qualifications to get the editor's status?
  2. How do I mark my own user pages for deletion under CSD U1. (I hope there are CSDs in enWN)?

Srinivas 11:19, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  1. There are no official "minimums" one needs to meet in order to gain editor status, however, in my experience, there are two things you need to have to be successful: 1.) a fairly thorough knowledge the style guide (demonstrated by having created several good articles) and 2.) having the trust of the community not to abuse the tool.
  2. If you want a page in your userspace to be deleted, simply tag them with {{delete|Author request}} and they'll get deleted under speedy deletion rules.
Hope I helped. Cheers, Tempodivalse [talk] 14:03, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Article ratings

I see we have a thing for readers to rate articles at the bottom of the page, based on reliability, completeness, neutrality and presentation. But are these ratings then available to view anywhere? I certainly can't find them. And do they get used much? the wub "?!" 10:03, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

They are accessible somewhere (I can't remember where). This is part of FlaggedRevisions, and for here on Wikinews I remember being told that the only page a decent number of ratings were entered for was the main page. Just have to hope that changes. --Brian McNeil / talk 10:53, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
For specific page: (change target to whatever page you want. Its also in the toolbox of most main namespace pages). For highly rated pages: Special:RatedPages. Cheers. Bawolff 15:42, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
