Here a few pointers to help you get to know Wikinews:

There are always things to do on Wikinews:

By the way, you can sign your name on Talk pages using four tildes (~~~~), which produces your name and the current date. ZH edit

Hello (er, well... Rico said that above - but anyway).

We could always do with help from people from non-English projects. Rico CC Shen is quite active here (User:BrockF5) and a lot of his work could do with copyediting to put a bit of polish on the English. Alternatively, you can work the other way and take stuff here and put it on zh.wikinews.org. We're a small community, something that has both advantages and disadvantages, but the thing to stress there is that we have a community. We prefer to call ourselves Wikinewsies, we even have http://www.wikinewsie.org with Foundation permission to use derivatives of the project logo on it.

Don't worry too much about feeling you're lazy in your contributions to the project, we can always do with more eyeballs on the lookout for spelling and grammatical errors. Don't get discouraged it you run into one of the oddities where we differ significantly from Wikipedia. News and encyclopedic content are so "worlds apart" that this is inevitable. --Brian McNeil / talk 06:44, 14 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
