Article questions

Hi, I see you're interested in the article Russia may declare war against USA. This article has not been published, and will not be published. English Wikinews has an extensive review process that articles have to go through in order to be published and appear on the front page. This includes a factcheck, copycheck, and copyedit, in addition to various less obvious tasks like ensuring that the article's formatting is correct, templates are used correctly, etc. An article which fails in *any* of these areas — including formatting, but most importantly copycheck and factcheck — will not be published. The article whose existence you've questioned fails in every way except copycheck (ie, it isn't a copyright violation), so it will not be published.

However, we have a policy of allowing failed articles to remain on the site in unpublished form for a few days to allow their authors (or occasionally other editors) to fix them. I don't see that happening in this case, but meh, who knows. Gopher65_talk 13:21, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
