Here a few pointers to help you get to know Wikinews:

There are always things to do on Wikinews:

By the way, you can sign your name on Talk pages using four tildes (~~~~), which produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, you can ask them at the water cooler or to anyone on the Welcommittee, or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! --Mrmiscellanious 21:17, 13 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Little Note

edit

Hey there! I've noticed you've been creating some articles with the location followed by a dash. On Wikinews, usually this is reserved only for Original Reporting items. Welcome! --Mrmiscellanious 21:17, 13 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Publishing articles

edit

Welcome to Wikinews! We're always eager and happy to welcome new editors. As a note, it might be best not to {{publish}} articles immediately. It's generally best to give the community a chance to edit or at least review your articles before publishing. Of course, breaking news items are an exception to this "custom" -- there are no hard and fast rules dictating when it's appropriate to publish an article, but I generally never publish those articles I've been the primary editor on (I let someone else decide when they're ready). Please let me know if I can help you with anything or answer any questions! Again, welcome! --Chiacomo (talk) 03:51, 17 October 2005 (UTC)Reply
