Here a few pointers to help you get to know Wikinews:

There are always things to do on Wikinews:

By the way, you can sign your name on Talk pages using four tildes (~~~~), which produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, you can ask them at the water cooler or to anyone on the Welcommittee, or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! — Doldrums(talk) 20:34, 15 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

image upload tips

edit

Just wanted to say thanks for uploading images. I also wanted to mention a couple things to remeber when uploading images. First, Please say in the image summary, what its copyright status is. The last image you uploaded was CC-BY-NC-ND (Creative commons, attributation non-commercial, no deritives). Images without copyright info might get deleted (depending on how lazy the person who sees it it. I'm not that lazy so I looked on the source you specified and found the info, but technically Images without copyright info can be deleted on sight. See WN:IUP and WN:FU for more info on that). Second, this is a minnor point, but in future if you could give more descriptive names, that would be great. Its a lot easier to remember, for example: image:Person_eating_pie.jpg, then image:103789174_4123798432_5.jpg. Other then that, Your doing great. happy editing and welcome to wikinews.
