Impersonation issue

Verify on your Wikiquote page that this is the real you, now. InvisibleSun 23:50, 29 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

No. I have been accused of being users that I am not. You have had no proof, offered any proof or evidence to suggest that I am an imposter. And I am not going to let this fly unless someone can give me PROOF of these events. Since you blocked me,. I would like to see what proof you have. Jason Safoutin 00:27, 30 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yet I see you do not want to help in this matter...nor Invisible sun. So whatever. Thanks for nothing. I have half a mind to think you are an imposter as well. Thanks for blocking people with no evidence or proof. I would say thats abuse of Admin powers. Jason Safoutin 00:36, 30 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Jason, I am surprised and disappointed that you are spending so much time and energy worrying about a temporary block on Wikiquote during a massive, cross-project vandalism attack by a person known for creating impersonations of sysops. I am trying to compose a comprehensive request for the Counter-Vandalism Unit to get assistance on this, while helping InvisibleSun to stop a vandal who clearly has a sophisticated, automated system for simultaneously causing multiple projects problems. I don't have time to deal with hurt egos. Block my Wikinews account if it would make you feel better. My only goals at the moment are to (A) stop the current attack, and (B) request assistance in preventing further similar attacks from eating up what little sysop bandwith we have. ~ Jeffq 01:08, 30 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Neither of you had any right whatsoever to block me or make accusations especially with NO proof, evidence and or merit. My issue is you two came here and did nothing but accuse me of being a user that I am not. I blocked Invisibles account for a personal attack and for threatening me. I am sorry I bothered to help any of you and now regret it. But since non of you guys have any balls to check user me i do not want to hear anymore. BTW your so-called friend Invisiblesun is an imposter on Wikinews. Are you? Jason Safoutin 01:13, 30 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
I created my account here long ago, but that proves nothing, as this vandal has been known to plant usernames months in advance. You are letting your anger interfere with your ability to deal with an emergency. You don't need to edit on Wikiquote right now, just as I don't need to edit here now. I am asking you to take a few steps back and let us focus on our respective projects, not grind each other down in side arguments. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to get back to my project's problems and that CVU request. ~ Jeffq 01:16, 30 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
How Am I to know that you are not an imposter now? Jason Safoutin 01:17, 30 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

And ou cannot prove that I am a vandal or an imposter. Jason Safoutin 01:18, 30 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

I trust that any active editor whose edit is pegged by the page history to the username linked from a project's Administrators page is almost certainly who they say they are, and only because I trust sysops to watch their key maintenance pages and each others' talk pages around the clock, and to choose very safe passwords. Beyond that, I am skeptical, as there are many ways, large and small, obvious and subtle, for one wiki-savvy editor to pose as another. ~ Jeffq 05:24, 30 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
