Welcome edit

Humphozeee~enwikinews, welcome to Wikinews! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Our key policies - if you read anything, read these!

Here a few pointers to help you get to know Wikinews:

There are always things to do on Wikinews:

By the way, you can sign your name on Talk pages using four tildes (~~~~), which produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, you can ask them at the water cooler or to anyone on the Welcommittee, or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! --Brian McNeil / talk 09:24, 26 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Copyright edit

Unfortunately you lifted too much from the PNN source which made the article a copyvio. I assume you've read all the sources, if you write the story again in your own words (yes, you can lift quotes from sources) I'll copyedit for style per the above links.

If you want to write it on the page where I've put the {{copyvio}} template leave that in and I will oversight the offending revision(s) [This means nobody can see them]. --Brian McNeil / talk 09:24, 26 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Where's my article? edit

Thanks Brian! It was late and I was tired and thought the story important. What happened to the article so that I can edit it.

Click the history tab and look at an older revision, the text will still be there. This is why the actual page will normally eventually get deleted to hide the copyvio from all but administrators. --Brian McNeil / talk 09:06, 27 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Oh, and if you finish it off today put today's date on it instead of yesterday's. Then when it gets published it'll go at the top of the list on the main page. --Brian McNeil / talk 09:11, 27 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
