Here a few pointers to help you get to know Wikinews:

There are always things to do on Wikinews:

By the way, you can sign your name on Talk pages using four tildes (~~~~), which produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, you can ask them at the water cooler or to anyone on the Welcommittee, or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! --Brian McNeil / talk 20:10, 20 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikinews! Thanks for creating United Church of Christ loses Puerto Rico Conference over GLBT issues, we need more articles like this. There are a few issues that must be dealt with before it can be published. The most important is that it currently does not conform to our Style guide. Wikinews articles must meet certain standards. You may find the information at Writing an article to be useful.

Discussion about your article will occur on the article talk page. Please go there to start or participate in the discussion with other Wikinews contributors. Please keep at it and try to get this article published. Getting news stories that interest you published at Wikinews can sometimes be difficult, but you will find that it is worth the effort. - Borofkin 23:50, 14 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Specifically, we don't usually place sources inline with the text, we put them in a "Sources" section at the bottom, using the {{sources}} tag. Take a look at some other articles to see what I mean. - Borofkin 23:52, 14 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
