Nomination on WN:A

edit

Since you've stated that you were withdrawing the nomination for at least awhile, is it OK if I clear that request on the page for the time being? --MrMiscellaniousHappy Hanukkah04:41, 27 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

New Zealand portal

edit

Hi Brian! I see that you are working on a New Zealand portal. I recently overhauled the Australian portal. If you have any questions about any of the various bits, feel free to drop a message on my talk page. - Borofkin 02:29, 29 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

IRCBox

edit

Feel free to steal the IRCBox, I stole it from MrMisc myself. I've seen a few people with it. I'll check out that page you sent, thanks. sinblox (talk) 21:58, 31 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

New Day.... but where?

edit

Most things on Wikinews run on UTC, which you'll see from the signature at the end of this comment. Whilst I had a minor disageeement with Amgine over an Australian article that was from a UTC perspective dated in the future, I don't think the Fiji quake story should be "future-dated". None of the sources reference the fourth. Brian McNeil / talk 22:09, 3 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sure about whether things should be in local time or not, I was always under the impression that we should be sticking to UTC. My discussion with Amgine yesterday centred on the fact that the sources for the Oz story were "future" to UTC, but matched the article date. In a case like that I'd concede the publish to the future argument, but this one won't matter in a couple of hours anyway. :) Brian McNeil / talk 22:24, 3 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
