Inability to find edit section links
editI noticed your recent comment about being unable to find an edit section link at Wikinews:Water cooler/technical; this is strange as they appear for me yet you are one of two users experiencing this problem. Are you perhaps looking directly at Wikinews:Water cooler? The page is protected to prevent comments being 'lost' in the no-man's-land of the main WC page, which the individual sections are transcluded onto. If not, then I'm utterly mystified as to what's causing this (Perhaps no surprise, however, considering I am not technically minded). Blood Red Sandman (Talk) (Contribs) 22:50, 21 August 2013 (UTC)
- screencaps help solve problems. ;) --Brian McNeil / talk 23:45, 21 August 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for clarifying. Indeed I refered to https://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Wikinews:Water_cooler which is also the link provided in the left panel on any en.wikinews.org subpage. Today when going to the Technical Water Cooler I get "Edit" links, somehow yesterday I was not lucky. --AKlapper (WMF) (talk) 08:08, 22 August 2013 (UTC)
- I'm planning on adding an explanatory note on the water cooler; I actually had thought there already was one. Blood Red Sandman (Talk) (Contribs) 21:52, 22 August 2013 (UTC)

Review gadget
editAlthough Pi zero (and myself) are the ones actually experiencing issues with the review gadget, you'd probably get the best response by addressing queries to Bawolff (talk · contribs) as the resident God and Patron Saint of Coding behind creating and maintaining it. It is located at MediaWiki:Gadget-easyPeerReview.js.
If absolutely needed it would be possible to temporarily give devs the privs needed to test it for themselves. Some precautions would be needed to prevent accidentally publishing a test article (as that would automatically push it to Google News!), but adding Category:No publish and marking the test reviews as not ready for publication should be sufficient.
