removed some tags, will be reused {{tasks|news|re-review}} {{date|September 5, 2015}} La Massana (Andorra), on Saturday the UCI Mountain Bike & Trials World Championship in the discipline of cross-country cycling were held in the mountain bike and skiing resort Vallnord.
The female Elite World Champions title was a clear win by Pauline Ferrand-Prévot (France) 58 seconds ahead of Irina Kalentyeva (Russia) and Yana Belomoina (96 seconds). Later Nino Schurter (Switzerland) had a very close duel with Julien Absalon (France) but prevailed with ten seconds then in lap five of six and maintained this advantage until finish. Third was Ondrey Cink (Czech) about one minute later.
On an altitude of up to 2000m this were major events besides the trials last week and the downhill on Sunday. Since beginning of the week the World Championship started with qualifiers, competitions for starters younger then 20 and 23 years and was met by the Vuelta a España for four days in Andorra.
