Keegan Peterzell
Technical Collaboration Specialist, Wikimedia Foundation

About me

My name is actually Keegan. I've been an editor on the English Wikipedia since 2005, an administrator since 2006. I'm also a former Oversighter and CheckUser on the English Wikipedia, and globally I'm a former OTRS administrator and a global renamer. I am an encyclopedia geek.

I worked for the Wikimedia Foundation on Fundraising 2010 as a contractor on outreach to non-English Wikimedia projects. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga in History.

My work

My job is to facilitate the work of Community Relations Specialists and Wikimedia Foundation product and engineering teams in collaborating with Wikimedia communities to develop software.

My responsibilities include developing, maintaining and consulting on best practices for community collaboration in software development, designing and implementing strategies for community discussions around software development, and consulting on other aspects of project planning that involve multi-stakeholder collaboration.

Disclaimer: I work for or provide services to the Wikimedia Foundation, and this is the account I try to use for edits or statements I make in that role.
