I've started this article: Bomb scare at Sydney's Circular Quay - you should try to find out as much as you can and add it. No other news agencies at the moment are reporting this. - Borofkin 06:27, 3 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

It's okay for you to be the only source. You are a Wikinews Contributor - you should write what you know, and the community will clean it up if they think it needs work. I was the only source for articles like Carnival style protest held in Sydney. Just remember that if you haven't personally witnessed an evacuation, then you should call it something like "unconfirmed reports". Be bold! - Borofkin 06:38, 3 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Nope, I'm out Randwick way. But I kind of am another source now because I rang the Police Media Unit. They're number is on the website, and they give out info to anyone who rings up. - http://www.police.nsw.gov.au/news - Borofkin 06:55, 3 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Australian Portal

edit

Hi Ben.... haven't heard from you in a while.... just letting you know that I've comletely redone the Australian Portal - it now displays articles grouped into days, the same as on the main page, and has a lead article. We can set our own standards on the Aussie portal - for example, we could ditch the whole "develop" and "publish" stages if we wanted to, or we could create an "australia-publish" stage, that would cause the article to appear as published on the Australian Portal, but not on the Main Page. Articles are still in the main namespace, however, and still have to be NPOV. Anyway, let me know what you think on the Australian discussion page. - Borofkin 23:37, 19 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

It looks good.
I took a wikibreak over Christmas, and a longer wikinews break. BenAveling 06:25, 6 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
