A month into Moscow’s military campaign and 595 people have perished by Russian air strikes in Syria, reported Al Jazeera.

Russia has been accused of killing too many innocent people. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that, about two-thirds of those killed were 30 opposition fighters and the rest were civilians, including 48 children among them.

Speaking at the United Nations in New York on Wednesday, Abdallah Al-Mouallimi said, "The delegation of my country expresses its profound concern regarding the military operations which Russian forces have carried out in Homs and Hama today, places where ISIL forces are not present. These attacks led to a number of innocent victims. We demand it stop immediately and not recur." Russia’s intervention in Syria has claimed the lives of innocent people.

Russia has claimed that its aerial strikes target ISIL and other “terrorist” groups. However, rebel forces have accused Moscow of focusing on Syrian oppositions, which are moderate fighters rather then ISIL.

Medical groups have blamed Russia for the bombs that have blasted many hospitals in Syria over the last month. The New York Times reported that: ‘At least seven hospitals or medical facilities in Syria have been hit by airstrikes since Russia entered the civil war there, killing at least four people, according to an international human rights group and Syrian relief workers.’

Al Jazeera has spoken with an international medical charity, Doctors without Borders and found that, ‘air strikes in northern and central Syria have hit at least 12 hospitals in recent weeks, killing at least 35 patients and medical staff and wounding more than 70 others.’ Russia’s invasion in Syria, led by US based coalition has killed 3,649 people since they began in September 2014. Around 6 percent of them are innocent civilians according to the Syrian Observatory.
