My given name is Anthony Christopher Maki. Anthony is derived from the Latin "anthro-" meaning "man." Christopher is derived from Jesus Christ. Maki is derived from the Finnish "walimaki" meaning "valley between the rivers." Incidentally, Maki means things in several languages. In Japanese it is a type of sushi; in French it is a lemur; and in Icelandic it is a spouse. I usually sign my name as "A.C. Maki."
