Earthquake in Haiti causes surge of earthquake-related news

After the tragic incident in Haiti, reporters suddenly found themselves unable to turn their attention away from the earthquakes that, for so long, went ignored by the media. Specialists claim that this shouldn't be confused with a lack of other important things to talk about.

Well, maybe because the tecnonic plates have been very active lately. Remember the California earthquake, the Chile earthquake, the Solomon, China's, and all of them?

These articles are not being written by international reporters with a disaster-fetish, but rather by people living in the region affected. If you want these reporters to stop writing about earthquakes, please inform the ground beneath their feet that it needs to stop shaking long enough for the reporters to get distracted by something else;).

Also, here at Wikinews we have a decided lack of reporters. If you feel that we aren't covering something important, please, write the story and submit it for review. Nothing makes us happier than getting a reporter capable of producing quality material.
