Optional URL edit
It's been proposed that the URL to this template be made optional. I'd wondered about that myself, at one time, but decided the requirement was probably deliberate, to force the person tagging the article to back up their claim with evidence. Thoughts? --Pi zero (talk) 19:14, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

- Well, the top matter of the template seems to be worded in such a way of merely "appearing" to be a press release, so needing a URL seems to go against that. There's also the case to be made that one shouldn't link to spam/advertising, because then they win :-0. Microchip08 (talk) 14:08, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
