The rest of the world calls soccer football because you're only supposed to use your feet and it isn't a contact sport. Well I am not much of a football person. British have rugby... rugby isn't played in the USA, if it was, it would probably be a subcategory of wrestling. Both football and rugby are brutal/dangerous, rugby is basically just a brawl, while football is the most strategy based sport in the world. And if you want to take something back, please delete it. I didn't want to see that offensive section. And by the way, football players aren't government employees... and football armor would not stop bullets, the troops have the best protection that is technologically available. Yes, it is played in the U.S. (see Wikipedia articles). But since the U.S. created Football, which originated from Rugby, the sport is not as popular anymore. It's not quite true that Rugby isn't played in the US, it's just not the most popular sport there. I could link more, but that'd be over the top. And they're in the current World Cup too, even if they're not very good. Either way, 28-10 is better than 3-0. Also, I wouldn't really call rugby "basically just a brawl" and american football "the most strategy based sport in the world", when a lot of the tackling in the latter is done when the tackled person doesn't even have the ball...
