editFound David via Craigslist, and he went to the Sunday afternoon performance. Commons has a few more images, of the many he shot. This was mainly as an exercise to get images for Wikipedia itself, but I thought I might as well share them here. -- Zanimum 15:11, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- Let me see if I got this right. David Fore emailed you these pictures. But not only that, but he released them under a CC-BY] license. Can you document this? If I e-mail him here will he confirm that? --SVTCobra 15:58, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, like with the articles Stephen McNeil becomes leader of the Nova Scotia Liberals (Halifax), Billboard holds benefit Oscar party for Children Uniting Nations (Los Angeles), Cars big winner as 34th Annual Annie Awards handed out (Los Angeles), and a Hilary Duff article I never wrote (Toronto), I found a willing photographer (or in the first article's case, reporter) to go out to these events and photograph them.
- This is the Craigslist post that I advertised the opportunity.
- Technically I didn't list the GFDL license in the ad, of which some of the uploads suggest, and I'll correct that now. But I think you'll find many photographers are very willing to work for free, if there's some major wattage they can add to their portfolio. (Granted, Christy isn't major wattage, but she's big enough.) -- Zanimum 16:40, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- Just as a note, Sesame Place is holding events in the coming months with Bob from Sesame Street, and both Miles and Gabby from the show; David says he up for both. There's also a concert with some random girl band, and a book reading with Maria from Sesame Street, and I'm looking for alternates, since he can't make them for sure.
- If there's any events anywhere in Canada/US/UK/Australia/anywhere else that speaks English as a primary language, I'm willing to get us in, ask me, I can try my best. (I'm starting to write a generic letter to presidential candidates, as well.) -- Zanimum 16:49, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- Wow, this is truly fascinating. I appreciate the detailed explaination. Thank you. --SVTCobra 17:20, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
