Journalist notes edit

The curler releases the stone from a stationary position. There is no sweepers. There is only one classification (unlike other other sports). This was shown on the big screen.

The other information was sent to scoop. --LauraHale (talk) 04:51, 10 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Morning session started with practice for South Korea, USA, Finland and China. And yeah, you can see the lack of sweeper here. --LauraHale (talk) 05:00, 10 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

The curling started with bagpipers. Acording to Canadian Wheelchair Curling media guy, there have been problems with the ice conditions the whole time because Sochi is just too warm. They cannot keep it cold enough. This is negatively impacting the play, and accuracy of shooting percentages is off by about 20% of what it should be. --LauraHale (talk)

Canada won the first end against the USA 1-0. There was one stone in the whole circle. They had about three defensive stones out front there did Canada. Lots of huge cheering for Russia including horns. Chants of Russia. --LauraHale (talk) 05:51, 10 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

USA won second end against Canada. They were one of the fatests teams playing, done before the other three teams on the ice. Occassional chants of Russia emerging from various places. --LauraHale (talk) 06:07, 10 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

China ahead 4-0 after the second end. Finland/Norway tied 1-1. Russia / Korea also tied 1-1 after 2. When score posted, loud loud Russia chanting.--LauraHale (talk) 06:09, 10 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

One player is behind the rock thrower, holding the wheelchair in place. The person on the other end points the broom to position the shot. (No sweeping.) The USA and Canadda all lined up in a row when the rock thrower threw. Sweden in contrast had their third person elsewhere behind the red line.

After 3 ends, (where USA/Canada finished first again) Canada was ahead 3-1. When Russia finished with their last stone, huge chants. --LauraHale (talk) 06:23, 10 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
