Journalist notes edit

The audio was sent to scoop and uploaded to dropbox. It was in Russian. They had a translation device and I could hear it translated live in English. I took notes during the press conference, which was originally scheduled for 1:30 in a smaller room but moved to a bigger room because of the overwhelming number of journalists who wanted to attend. It started at 1:50 because the driver for the Ukrainian had problems with his accreditation. The spelling was typed in by the Ukrainian Wikinewsie here with me for the guy's name. He was in a wheelchair. Hand written notes below in addition to the audio. I was late to the press conference following it. (Had to get photography things for the opening ceremony.) Regarding the Afghanistan thing, I asked Illya for clarification: Did they mean the Soviet war? The answer was yes. (As opposed to the recent USA thing in Afghanistan.) I think I sent the audio to scoop. It should also be in dropbox. Craig Spence was there as well as the local organizer. I arrived just for the Q&A part. Handwritten notes cover it below.--LauraHale (talk) 12:43, 7 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
