Talk:Ukrainian Paralympic Committee announces decision to compete at Games so their goal of peace will not be forgotten
Journalist notes
editThe audio was sent to scoop and uploaded to dropbox. It was in Russian. They had a translation device and I could hear it translated live in English. I took notes during the press conference, which was originally scheduled for 1:30 in a smaller room but moved to a bigger room because of the overwhelming number of journalists who wanted to attend. It started at 1:50 because the driver for the Ukrainian had problems with his accreditation. The spelling was typed in by the Ukrainian Wikinewsie here with me for the guy's name. He was in a wheelchair. Hand written notes below in addition to the audio. I was late to the press conference following it. (Had to get photography things for the opening ceremony.) Regarding the Afghanistan thing, I asked Illya for clarification: Did they mean the Soviet war? The answer was yes. (As opposed to the recent USA thing in Afghanistan.) I think I sent the audio to scoop. It should also be in dropbox. Craig Spence was there as well as the local organizer. I arrived just for the Q&A part. Handwritten notes cover it below.--LauraHale (talk) 12:43, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
