I hope violence continues to decline, that the Iraqi government stabilizes and the Sunni and Shi'a can get along. Than we can start to significantly reduce the number of troops. Contralya 07:05, 12 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

The Sunni and Shia fight over the interpretation of who succeeded Mohammed. It's just like the Catholics and Protestants persecuting each other several hundred years ago. Hell, they even had wars over it - and you just need to look at the situation in Northern Ireland to see how religion can be associated with cultural identity and communities then divide into warring factions. --Brian McNeil / talk 09:00, 12 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
