Or Notes

edit

I asked a local resident about the crime via telephone. Thats where I got the reports of a heavy police presence from. --Anonymous101 (talk · contribs) (Note I have no link with the organization anonymous) 19:22, 3 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Did the witness ask not to be named? Witness sound more credible when they can be named. --SVTCobra 15:20, 4 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
They are not a witness of the murder, they were in the area after the murder and, yes, they did ask not to be named. However, based on reports from the local media I have no reason to doubt this claim. --Anonymous101 (talk · contribs) (Note I have no link with the organization anonymous) 16:17, 4 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
I want to make clear that the OR source did not see the murder or anything linked. What they saw was a few hours after the murder --Anonymous101 (talk · contribs) (Note I have no link with the organization anonymous) 16:30, 4 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
I did not intend to imply any such thing. They witnessed the police presence, is all. The article contains an eye-witness account, thus I refer to the person as a witness. If it were otherwise I'd probably say murder-witness, but I digress. All I wanted to say is that it sounds better if we could say, "John Doe, a long-time resident of Anytown, told Wikinews that there was a high police presence around the murder-scene" (and I don't mean to suggest using aliases, mere illustrating how it would read). --SVTCobra 16:41, 4 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I didnt mean to misinterpret the comment. My mistake. --Anonymous101 (talk · contribs) (Note I have no link with the organization anonymous) 16:44, 4 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
