• I've seen this get a lot on the BBC and Al-Jazeera. One of the key points is that any foreign journalists trying to get near the square are rebuffed. Not only are there military and police, but they have plain clothes security people with umbrellas in the bright sunshine. That was from broadcast reports. A reporter who attempted to get to the square was blocked by the guys with the umbrellas and noticed they all had earpieces. --Brian McNeil / ^talk 12:17, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
