I've slightly tweaked the punctuation, spacing, capitalization of Jillea's response, but the words remain as submitted. -- Zanimum (talk) 20:39, 27 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello,

I was just preparing Wikinews' coverage of Anime North, and decided to look at your web presence. Wow, you legitimately have a great voice!

Would you be open to answering some questions for the article? If so, I'd be moving your picture up to the top of the article, away from the rest of the cosplayers.

https://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Toronto%27s_Anime_North_brings_thousands_together

If you're open to an interview, here's three basic questions, perhaps one or two sentences each as an answer: What got you into cosplay modelling? How did you choose Charizard? What was your favourite part of Anime North? I'll be posting in Q and A format with an intro about who you are.

Thanks for your consideration, Nick

Hey I would love that! Thank you so much.

Q) What got you into cosplay modelling? A) My love for cosplay started with the community, what started as a fun hobby I would do periodically quickly became a huge part of my life and the reason for that being how amazing the cosplay community embraced me and my work. I’ve always been a creative person so getting to make my costumes and have people say ‘oh my gosh I love that character!!’ Got me hooked right away. They’re just my people what can I say, they really make me feel welcomed and I love them for it.

Q) How did you choose Charizard? A) I’m a 90’s baby so you could say I’m a bit of a Pokémon OG! I had a Game Boy as a kid and my very first purchase was Pokémon Red, solely based on how cool Charizard looked on the cover. Charizard has always been my favourite Pokémon and I can’t resist a challenging cosplay... and the nostalgia!

Q) What was your favourite part of Anime North? A) This was my very first time attending Anime North and I was blown away !! The Booths were incredible and unique, every time I turned around I was seeing something different I’ve never seen at a convention before. Everything was easy to access and I even made use of the Cosplay Recharge station that literally saved the day with their hot glue! Extremely friendly environment it will not be my last time back for sure.

Hope that answers your questions !! If you need anything else just shoot me an email 😊 thanks Nicholas!

@Zanimum: Was this email? Can it be forwarded to scoop? --Pi zero (talk) 17:04, 31 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
(Well, yes to the first; you state explicitly in the article it was email.) --Pi zero (talk) 17:10, 31 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thursday?

@Zanimum: You say four days starting on May 23, but the site (and other sources I've seen) say three days starting on May 24. Have you any explanation to suggest for this discrepancy? --Pi zero (talk) 18:14, 31 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

(Maybe I see where the four days comes from; though I'd still be interested to hear your comments on this.) --Pi zero (talk) 18:40, 31 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
