Scoop and explanation edit

I have forwarded the e-mails to scoop. I extended a request for comment to Dr Sirr 4 July through his provided e-mail link due to his perceived expertise in the matter as judged by years of work in the field and frequent press appearances on this and similar subjects. We continued organising a precise time, while I sent him a copy of questions for preparation purposes on 11 July, while assuring him they were in no way set in stone. We had a Zoom call 16 July. --JJLiu112 (talk) 04:46, 17 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Question posed poorly edit

For the record, the question "The Residential Tenancies Act [2021] which, as you said, comes into effect today, it ensures that the rent pressure zones can increase with the consumer prices. It has been challenged by the opposition obviously, just because they think that it's unfair on tenants, and that sort of thing. What are your thoughts?" was phrased poorly, intended instead to represent the previous 4% method in dealing with rent increases was criticised by Sinn Féin, Social Democrats etc. It obviously came across the wrong way, and for that I'd like to apologise. The Irish Examiner source & vote source are both meant to supplement the question I intended to ask, with the former showing discontent and impatience by main opposition party Sinn Féin, and the latter showing votes for an amendment supported by opposition members. --JJLiu112 (talk) 23:11, 18 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Temporary section breaks edit

Hey, @JJLiu112:, if you are working on, for example, 24:00, can you consider adding a section break (level three, that is === ) just above the 24:00 mark? It will help me review while you are transcribing without any e/c.

Not sure what you're asking for, sorry. --JJLiu112 (talk) 04:51, 19 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
@JJLiu112: If you have transcribed and saved till 24:00 for example, the next answer that you start transcribing, just put a heading above that, save it, and end that section instead. Or come by IRC and I can explain better.

@Chaetodipus:, @Bddpaux:, @Green Giant: please review this? Another OR's coming soon, and I'd really not like another incident where there's just a backlog of this stuff. --JJLiu112 (talk) 04:44, 20 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
Please --JJLiu112 (talk) 16:46, 21 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
I'm jumping on it, but it'll take me a bit to finish it.--Bddpaux (talk) 16:58, 21 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
Listened, verified through 16:14.....taking a short break.--Bddpaux (talk) 17:03, 21 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your diligence! --JJLiu112 (talk) 18:02, 21 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Quick looks at a few source articles, as listed. --Bddpaux (talk) 17:33, 21 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
Well: hmmmmmmm......'Summer Economic Statement' PDF, I can only see something on the title page....all other pages won't display. What did you use from that source and is there some alternative??--Bddpaux (talk) 19:01, 21 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
Pretty sure it's a download link. It mentioned the Housing for All strategy. --JJLiu112 (talk) 19:12, 21 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
Well, I downloaded it again, and beyond the title page, I get nothing. So, it needs to be deleted since it won't ACTUALLY be a source, and you will need to adjust your article text accordingly.--Bddpaux (talk) 19:24, 21 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

External examiner isn't a job title, it literally just means he was an examiner, who was not affiliated with the university. Sort of like 'domestic cook' or 'international student'. --JJLiu112 (talk) 17:09, 21 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

OK --Bddpaux (talk) 17:30, 21 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

I'm finished....... edit

Once the little PDF bit mentioned above is addressed, I can publish.--Bddpaux (talk) 19:29, 21 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

The link updated, because those things happen. Should be fixed now. --JJLiu112 (talk) 19:33, 21 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Bddpaux: --JJLiu112 (talk) 19:35, 21 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
@JJLiu112: Very nice. Verified and done!--Bddpaux (talk) 19:37, 21 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Make sure you add time stamps in the format mm:ss or hh:mm:ss (leading zeros, when needed) right before the start of any new paragraph, @JJLiu112:.
