Talk:Sydney welcomes home the Australian Olympic Team
Journalist notes
editThousands of people isn't in the audio but is verifiable by the photos and also aired over ABC Sydney while on the road heading back to Canberra and George Street is common knowledge to people in Sydney and NSW. —Bidgee (talk) 09:24, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
- ABC News 24 also stated thousands of people. The article may need a copy edit, it was written while travelling on the road back to Canberra and in my hotel room where the internet is rather slow and some times unusable. Will be travelling again in a few hours, not sure how long I'll be away from the computer. Bidgee (talk) 13:58, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

edit.....THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!! The text-portion is understated, and the photo (slide show) and audio become the crux of the article! Nice kind of variety!! --Bddpaux (talk) 14:44, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
- That was the intent of sorts. I was driving in the car when Bidgee was writing this saying LA LA LA! More pictures! Less text! There is apparently some article from 2009 that was mostly pictures and was hoping to model after that. This was also designed as a test of the ability to do mobile uploading and mobile reporting. That it outline a bit here and here. --LauraHale (talk) 20:40, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
- Cool....and guess what's even funnier.....I've really been trying to get my hands on a graduate-level Communications dissertation, just out of curiosity.....that site might be the ticket!! --Bddpaux (talk) 21:56, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
- There have been quite a few past photoessays. --Brian McNeil / talk 06:22, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
- Did you want a copy of my submitted thesis? It deals with social media and Australian sport. The version on my site is about a year out of date. Te photoessay I was thinking of was one pizero showed me of the cherry blossoms which where licensed CC-BY-NC. :) --49.176.68.141 (talk) 06:26, 22 August 2012 (UTC)
