• Attended the event tonight from 6:40pm - 7:55pm...........didn't get a hotdog, though.....the sacrifices one makes for journalism!!

Additional notes.....umpire told me 1st game daily at 8:30am and last game should wrap up around 11pm nightly. Games will run Monday - Thursday. Comments made by event MC and Mayor during opening ceremony......."17 teams total are here for this week" and(mayor),"We're looking for all of you boys to have a great time and welcome to Chandler." Now, I may think that's likely just a goof because Barbara Bass is the name of the mayor of Tyler, but. Much of the content here is OR based on the writer having actually been there, the source article predates the event, and the provided notes don't actually cover any of the embellishing details provided by the article. So I wouldn't be comfortable just "fixing" that and publishing. The reporter's notes cover different details than the article. I'm granting that the embellishing details in the article are reasonable things for an eyewitness to have observed, but it's not great that they weren't acknowledged in the notes. It's also too bad none of the value-added information in the notes was used in the article (some of it wouldn't work in very well, but some would). Questions about the above? Ask. If possible, please address the above issues then resubmit the article for another review (by replacing {{tasks}} in the article with {{review}}). I'll up the emphasis on one point. It's not good at all that the details in the article that weren't in the cited source were also not in the reporter's notes. It leaves the reviewer having to exercise judgement on each point that wasn't in the cited source, to decide whether it's reasonable to suppose the writer actually observed that, as opposed to, say, having mistakenly thought they read it in the source. --Pi zero (talk) 17:30, 23 July 2012 (UTC)

Fixes

• Ok, fixed Mayor's name.....(brain cramp).
• Problem with the source article is.....our local rag only publishes twice per week........so it'll be Thursday (or so) until I could grab another......so could I get an inch or two here (ideally, I should've submitted before the event, so we'd be able to keep before,now,later squared away)? I'm going to try to get my OR notes and the article's content lined up.....honestly, my kids were a bit unruly last night, and frankly, I might've readie'd this a bit too early! • OK.........reviewed my notes from yesterday......and tried to get things matched up properly. Also the general "tone" of the WHEN of event....I think I fixed......it's now 95% about a ceremony that happened yesterday and what that ceremony was connected to.
