Talk:Rosemary Cousin, Greens candidate in South Gippsland, Australia, speaks to Wikinews about democracy, transport, forests and other local issues
Reporter's notes edit
Per Talk:'The Administrators were a disaster for the Shire': Wikinews interviews Lindsay Love, Tarwin Valley ward candidate in South Gippsland, Australia, I contacted all of the South Gippsland candidates who I haven't already contacted. Cousin got back to me today. Her email was forwarded to scoop. One quibble: she answered a question that I don't think I asked, not quite sure what to do with that. --LivelyRatification (talk) 12:49, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
Review of revision 4645393 [Passed] edit
Revision 4645393 of this article has been reviewed by RockerballAustralia (talk · contribs) and has passed its review at 21:52, 3 October 2021 (UTC).
Comments by reviewer: I'd've licked to have seen one or two of the images sent with the email responses used but understand they're probably not licensed freely enough. The interviewee has definitely gone into far more detail than the last one I reviewed. The reviewed revision should automatically have been edited by removing {{Review}} and adding {{Publish}} at the bottom, and the edit sighted; if this did not happen, it may be done manually by a reviewer. |

- @RockerballAustralia: I've just recieved an email from the interviewee asking for the images and the accompanying policy positions (concerning the intersection in Leongatha, climate crisis, COVID recovery, and biodiversity) to be included in the interview. I'm not really sure how I could do this, what the proper form here is (should we include these), or how to respond. If the images are her own, they could easily be included, but it's more the accompanying policy I'm reluctant to include, since I'm not really sure how we'd put that in. --LivelyRatification (talk) 20:19, 11 October 2021 (UTC)
- This is over a week old, and substantial changes over 24 hours after the publication are not okay. Amended articles do not resurface in our newsfeed. Could you do a follow-up interview maybe? (If you are up to it, I think you should mark in the follow-up that the interviewee initiated the process.) - Xbspiro (talk) 20:33, 11 October 2021 (UTC)
- In all honesty I don't have much of an appetite for a second interview, and you raise a fair point about the age of this article. LivelyRatification (talk) 20:45, 11 October 2021 (UTC)
- Then *maybe* we could amend the article with {{Correction}} (with an "Amendment" label). Not an ideal solution, and please wait for more feedback, before you would move in this direction. - Xbspiro (talk) 21:17, 11 October 2021 (UTC)

- @LivelyRatification: Changing the article would be against he rules at this point. I can't see why we couldn't create a follow up article with the extra info and the images. A recheck of the email might suggest otherwise but I don't have that in front of me at the moment.
- Uploading the images for use (here on Wikinews and elsewhere) shouldn't be a problem as long as a) she owns the copyrights to them, and b) she freely licences them freely enough (CC-BY or CC-BY-SA)--RockerballAustralia contribs 23:02, 11 October 2021 (UTC)
