I've moved this into the main body of the article. I can't find a list of how senators voted in the Hansard, so we will have to find another source. - Borofkin 02:59, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
- There is a listing of how all the senators voted in Hansard, with their names, so it is a trivial exercise to list the names and to confirm whether they are male or female. If you can't actually find the listing of votes, try p81. (p95 in the PDF). Dysprosia 22:29, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

Original reporting based on transcripts edit
Original reporting is when a Wikinews contributor takes information that was previously not available at all, or only in a raw form, and turns it into a news format that is easily accessible by the general public. Parliament transcripts (Hansards) are hundreds of pages long, and politicians are notorious for speaking at length but saying very little. Dysprosia, our wonderful parliamentary reporter, reads through these lengthy transcripts and reports on what is important, providing context along the way. This is most certainly original reporting, unfiltered by any other news organisation, and we need more of it. - Borofkin 22:44, 13 February 2006 (UTC)
