I attended the game last night. The score ended 4-1, which can be verified here. Ronaldo scored three goals. The fans chanted this when it happened. There were a number of cards issued in the game. {{add category}} Luka Modric (and Karim Benzema) played the match, and that is enough to add their category, I believe.

Not done. Afaics the article doesn't mention Modric, therefore there's no news about Modric to be found here. --Pi zero (talk) 19:18, 7 August 2019 (UTC)

They can be seen in photograph 3. They were on the pitch, which we have chosen to include, per the 2018 FIFA World Cup categorisation process.

This is a different sort of article; seems to me for a photo essay, actually being in the pictures, and especially mentioned in the captions, is what matters. However, Modric is featured in the captions of three different pictures, which I'd missed the first time around through the classic blunder of string-searching for "Modric" which failed to find anything because of the "c".
