Talk:Nepali goddess retires at age 11

Why does the front page story for this have the addition to the title "marries fruit"? Yes, her family is arranging a symbolic marriage to a fruit but that isn't a main - or even important - part of the story. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Wrc wolfbrother (talk • contribs)
- My guess is because it gives a reason as to why she retired. Mouse among men 20:55, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- Because it is not an important part. It seems that most Newa women go through this ceremony. They still marry men when they grow up ... it just protects them from the stigma (which must be strong there) of being a widow, should their husband die first. --SVTCobra 00:01, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
