Talk:Nearly 25% of Iceland's voters petition for veto of Icesave bill

The figures for this are a complete mess; the France 24 source quotes $5 billion, the BBC quotes € and £ figures as the same amount.

The video clip mentions minimum repayment/compensation amounts under european laws for depositor guarantees but no details of these are present.

A criticism of the related news story on NewsTrust was that it did not give context/background for those truly ignorant of the Icesave issue - which affects more than the one failed bank. --Brian McNeil / talk 12:17, 3 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Worked together with Brian (thanks for the additional info you added) to address issues. The figures error was sloppy. --Александр Дмитрий (Alexandr Dmitri) (talk) 15:09, 3 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • The bit you took out was sort-of paraphrase from Magnus' comments in the video clip on the BBC article. He gave a month, I was quickly able to track down the previous deal and a couple of points from it. --Brian McNeil / talk 16:27, 3 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
