I'm not sure I totally understand the last sentence of this article:
"The court allowed Campbell a lawyer, however the lawyer cannot intervene during her testimony unless they protects her from self-incrimination."
I'm pretty sure it should be "unless they protect her from self-incrimination". But after reading the source I think it would be more clear if it said: 'The court allowed Campbell a lawyer, however the lawyer can only intervene during her testimony to protect her from self-incrimination.'
