The article name is totally misleading - at least to anyone who has any familiarity with the area. Why does it say "on Mount Everest"? The plane was nowhere near the mountain when it crashed. Everest is about 30-35 km NE of Lukla. RedWolf (talk) 18:00, 2 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

The title does not say 'on' anywhere. It's a simple edit to change on --> near. Blood Red Sandman (Talk) (Contribs) 19:55, 2 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • My second statement about "on" was referring to the opening paragraph, not the title, although perhaps I did not initially make this clear. The article title is not appropriate as it implies the plane crashed on the mountain when it was nowhere near it. Do people really think 30-35 km away is close? Both the sources listed do. Also remember Lukla is considered an important transport link to Everst. No worries on the misunderstanding, I should have realised what you meant. Blood Red Sandman (Talk) (Contribs) 00:22, 4 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
(edit conflict) It sounds closer to Everest than London Gatwick, London Luton or London Stansted airports are to London. Is there a closer airport? --InfantGorilla (talk) 00:26, 4 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
