Talk:Microsoft releases Windows Phone 7 to manufacturing
Jargon
editWhat does "release to manufacturing" mean? I read this without understanding the commercial processes and I find myself confused. Does this milestone mean that today they start pressing CDs and shipping them to mobile phone companies, or post the code up on the extranet for customers to download, or something else? --InfantGorilla (talk) 13:42, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
- I added an explanation about it in the second paragraph of the news article. Gryllida 09:45, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

editThe photo is of an iPad, not Windows Phone 7—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 109.77.59.233 (talk • contribs)
- It shows both. An iPad is hardware and Windows Phone 7 is an operating system. BRS (Talk) (Contribs) 14:39, 28 October 2016 (UTC)
