I have a source that confirms #3 as false, #2 is probably also false since there is nothing in the laws of treason that could be interpreted as such. I don't really understand what's meant by #8. #10 is a bit misleading - it's absolutly not legal to murder someone under these circumstances, just because an ancient piece of unrepealed legislation exists doesn't mean it's the law, more recent statues overrule it.
This poorly researched list has just been passed around news agencies with very few of them bothering to do any research, perhaps we can do a little better. Darksun 11:42, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
The opening paragraph of this article looks like it was written at 2 or 3 different times, and I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out what it means. I think the fact that some of these are urban legends shouldn't undermine the article, as it never purports to be a list of accurate laws. It is simply a reporting of a poll done by a TV station. I've unpublished it. We're not going to uncritically repeat some list of unconfirmed urban legends and rumors. There's a minimal quality we should strive for which isn't just repeating this sort of thing. We should republish when we have a better idea which are "true" and how "true" they are.
