Original reporting

edit

Original parts include the statements about what happened in Irvine and the comment on the frequency of thunderstorms.

By the way, I was lucky to be working on my laptop—if I'd been on my desktop, I would've lost this story when the power started acting up. Brent Dax (talk) 08:19, 20 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

Hey, a lightning storm in SoCal is a pretty rare occurrence, and even more so to have it happen in September. :-) -- IlyaHaykinson 15:22, 20 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

I have to agree- this is news? 70.24.239.249 01:42, 21 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

I boot my computer, load up my Home Page, and then scan the headlines on the RSS Feed of Wikinews. All headlines, to some degree or another, I am already somewhat familiar with what must be the general content of the story, except for this one. So the news is that this story is the one headline on the list that I clicked upon. -Edbrown05 14:21, 21 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

Change template to categories

edit

As part of a general template cleanup, the template "Los Angeles-Continent" should be removed and the following categories should be added:

  • "Category:Los Angeles, California"
  • "Category:California"
  • "Category:United States"
  • "Category:North America"
