Review of revision 4659347 [Not ready]

Comments by reviewer: There is a small amount of quoting the sources directly e.g. the sentence which starts with "Reuters characterisedâŚ", which should be rewritten to describe the situation rather than what the journalists say. This is why we list the sources at the end. The other major hurdle to overcome is the length of some of the sentences. No sentence should be so long that a reader has to take a breath reading it. There are different views on how many words there should be but Iâd say aim for no more than 25 words. Certainly, 59 words is far too long. Iâve marked most of the ones that need attention. Additionally there are some redundant words such as the sentence that starts "Mattarella was praised for his action in appointingâŚ" The words "his action in" could be removed without affecting the meaning of the sentence. Otherwise itâs a very good article and I enjoyed reading it. Questions about the above? Ask. If possible, please address the above issues then resubmit the article for another review (by replacing {{tasks}} in the article with {{review}}). This talk page will be updated with subsequent reviews. |

@Cromium: I aim to maintain NPOV by contextualising anything perceived to be subjective or not plainly supported by attributing a relevant source. That way, readers can ascertain to under what context these comments were made without assuming any bias. I find just because I said "Reuters said ..." is really a non-issue. As for sentence length, I'll trim them. --JJLiu112 (talk) 21:04, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- To my understanding, this has been resolved without removing the attributions I personally think are vital. I think we can be a bit more lax on the 25-word limit than, say, the government. Nonetheless, the average sentence length has been cut to 20.34 words. Please re-review, when you have time. --JJLiu112 (talk) 21:37, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
