@Me Da Wikipedian: same issue here as Israel Defense Forces discover tunnel in child's bedroom in Rafah. Please add the extra sentence and source. [24Cr][talk] 19:27, 11 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Done...but I still don't see why this is necessary. Hamas fires rockets at Tel Aviv was published without it. Also, as previously stated, the main idea of the paragraph is "this came in the war following the October 7 attack and Israel declaring war" not "a bunch of gazans died"@Cromium Me Da Wikipedian (talk) 19:31, 11 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
That article should not have been published without balancing. If you are going to include this paragraph, you should realise it reads as if it is biased towards the Israeli side. Don't get me wrong - on a personal level I was horrified by October 7. However, the Israeli response has caused the deaths of more than ten times as many people. By leaving out that number, we would give the impression of supporting the Israeli side. We shouldn't be on anyone's side but should aim to report objectively. If you are unhappy about including the sentence about Palestinians, I'm equally unhappy about a whole paragraph listing only the suffering on the Israeli side. "By leaving out that number, we would give the impression of supporting the Israeli side" - We have also excluded virtually infinite amounts of background that could be theoretically provided for this story.@Cromium Me Da Wikipedian (talk) 19:44, 11 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Everything you said was unverified was verified by NYT, found mirror to verify it. Punitive measures will be taken is as clear as it can get that there will be punishment. Added casualties and resumbitted. @Cromium: Me Da Wikipedian (talk) 21:29, 11 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Why wouldn't they. It's solves the issue (people can't easily get access to verify the article). @Cromium:, thoughts? @BigKrow: Me Da Wikipedian (talk) 21:35, 11 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Me Da Wikipedian: In the future, please follow WN:TIME by clarifying which time zone a specific time is in, and the simultaneous time in UTC. Was the IDF's announcement at 11 A.M. or the raid? I did a brief, not-at-all-comprehensive string search for "11" and the only mention I could find was The New York Times reporting Daniel Hagari said the raid took place at 11 a.m. (perhaps by local time). There's also the possibility you altered the time to accommodate some other time zone. Heavy Water (talk) 18:26, 4 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

I honestly don't know where that came from and this was a month ago so I don't really remember what I was thinking. @Heavy Water Me Da Wikipedian (talk) 04:23, 5 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
