Sports?

edit

I don't get it? How do the two recent sporting piece topics you contributed measure up with being in the scope of a 'large audience interest' goal, or of the prevailing reporting (as I see it rendered) currently being submitted here at WikiNews. I would label the articles as not news. Edbrown05 10:44, 14 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Ed you are completely missing the point a) we have to start from somewhere with original news - this is origional news b) this is news it was on the front pages in the sports sections in Ireland - i.e. it was national news on an Island of 5 million people, c) it was only listed as a headline story on Wikinews Ireland and as a small story in the sports section. Attendence at the game was about 10,000 - many English Premiership games have attendences of between 10,000 - 16,000 and feature in international press. So don't even dare say this is'nt news!
